Today the Scouts, led by Crew Leader Joseph GW and Navigator Joshua B embarked on the Blue Diamond Hill loop hike directly across from Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas.

True to Boy Scout Troop 770 form, the Scouts decided to take the path of most resistance and ended up hauling up a dried out river bed which turned out to be quite an excellent adventure. With 250 million year old fossils surrounding the Scouts from all directions, they proceeded to top an ancient plateau overlooking the entire Red Rock Canyon area which became the highlight for many of the Scouts.

The boys also came across a horse back group that was working on improving the land and trail system.

Andruw B, the Senior Patrol Leader for Troop 770 stated that this was one of the best hikes he’s been on.
